Sustainability:::Holiday

After featuring some of the amazing sustainable gift wrap and packaging options out there last week I realized I had gotten ahead of myself by a holiday or two. So this week I’m backing things up a bit. And being that I’m not much of a halloween person (I was permanently scarred by the Pee Wee’s Big Adventure Movie) and considering that halloween is this week (what?!) I thought I’d share some of the fun Thanksgiving decor that’s available to help spruce up your eco-friendly gathering.
1. Willow Creek Sparrow – Cashmere Heirloom Pumpkin
This little guy is just about as cute as it gets. Made from an upcycled cashmere sweater and some tree branch clippings from the garden he is adorable and sustainable.
2. Home Made Soy – Pumpkin Pie Soy Candle
Pumpkin is quite possibly my favorite flavor of all time. Well, maybe second to chocolate, but pumpkin is up there. I’ve already had my fave pumpkin gelatto, pumpkin cream cheese from Einstein’s and am thinking about trying out a fab recipe I stumble upon for homemade pumpkin spice lattes. This candle will be finding a spot in my home very soon to fill up the place with the warmth of the fall season. In addition to the obvious goodness of this candle, the tin is made of recycled aluminum and the wax is 100% soy and essential oils. No weird chemicals involved!
3. Lasso the Moon – Autumn Leaves Wool Garland
This garland is the perfect decor to get your mantle ready for the serious business of Christmas decorations. Made from a hemp cord and 100% felted wool.
4. Serendipity Blue – Acorn with Leaf
And to top off your eco-friendly fall display is this lovely large acorn hand made using recycled materials.
