I’m so excited to share this week’s Music to Create to artist.  (By the way, did anyone else miss MTCT last week? I mean I loved the giveaways, but I really love this series!)  I stumbled upon Oliver the Penguin on The Drop on relevantmagazine.com and have been smitten ever since.  Self described as “A girl version of The Postal Service” I think that pretty much sums their sound up perfectly.  Their influences include some of my other electro faves Frou Frou and The Bird and The Bee.  Made up of the talented duo of Rie Sinclair and Tommy Walter, Oliver combines great electro pop with meaningful lyrics that will resonate with anyone that has ever thought deeply about their own life or questioned the status quo.  I’ve been streaming Oliver all week from their website where you can also pick up their album on iTunes and learn more about this great duo.
