I love, love this modern and minimal centerpiece from EcoLectic Events that would be a super star centerpiece for a Fall wedding. Add a few hanging tea lights for an evening occasion, or tie your escort cards to it for a unique seating display. And, voila! Eco-friendly doesn’t get easier than that, friends!
“Kimberly” available in the Paper Mango Etsy store and printed on post-consumer recycled paper. I’m super excited to be kicking off a new Paper Mango 411 mini-series today! I’m always fascinated to know the “why” behind the “what” and some of my favorite indie bloggers and businesses that do this so well have inspired me [...]

The past couple weekends in our house have been major project weekends. Nearly two years ago we purchased our first home, a classic “fixer upper” with unending projects (in stark contrast to our bank account). I spent hours on Saturday and Sunday sanding, painting, and repainting 3 new interior doors for our downstairs living area. [...]
I have to admit, I feel a bit like I’m cheating with today’s Sustainability ::: WEDDINGS post, but when I saw this week’s Wedobo.com deal, I knew my readers would want to be in the know on this one. If you’re not familiar with Wedobo.com, it’s basically like Groupon for weddings. If you’re not familiar [...]

Summer is still dragging on here in the desert, but I’m dreaming of perfectly cool fall days and looking forward to being able to wear something more than flip flops, shorts and a tank top. All of these pieces say “It’s Fall” to me and would be a welcome addition to my closet! 1. Bird [...]
I thought we’d end the week (start the weekend!) with these adorable little wedding favors from Favor Creative. Everything about these favors will add to the eco-friendly vibe of your wedding and who doesn’t like having fresh herbs around the house to cook with. Every time your guests throw some mint in their iced tea [...]
I feel like I’m sharing this dress out of season. It’s too late for Summer 2010 brides, maybe too soon for Summer 2011 brides (unless you’re really on the ball!), but I stumbled upon it and was just smitten. What a perfect wedding dress for a casual summer wedding! Thread Head Creations has been hand [...]

Just in the short time I’ve been blogging about hand made, eco-friendly finds through my Sustainability series, I’ve noticed a dramatic increase in the availability of intentionally sustainable art. I was surprised initially, because I thought with all of the options available for mixed media artists to upcycle and recycle, and all of the wonderful [...]
Candy bars (think buffet not Snickers) have been all the rage at weddings the past couple of years. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten mad chocolate cravings while putting together little signs for M&M’s or Reese’s Pieces. And while trends come and go, they seem to stick around a bit longer in [...]
Add a little whimsy (and score major brownie points with the kids “dragged” to your wedding) with these bamboo stick pinwheels. Petits Metier has a great variety of patterns and colors to create a perfect combination that coordinates with your wedding theme. They’ll also create a completely custom paper design for you if you’re trying [...]
